SESSION GUIDE

Consultation
After you contact me, we will have a pre-session consultation, either through e-mail or over the phone.
I have a short questionnaire for you to fill out.  We will figure out your goals for your portrait experience, including your session details,  must have shots, and how you want to ultimately enjoy your portraits.
Payment is due before the session takes place.

Portrait Session
Sessions are typically up to one hour long.  I enjoy outdoor, wooded or natural areas, but will accommodate your desired location.
I highly encourage you to have your family pets join you in the photos!  I promise it will be worth it!
I want your session to be pleasant and as stress free as possible.  Please relax, and try to enjoy this time with your family!
Let me worry about the smiles and wild children!  But ultimately, no matter what face your child is making in the photo, that's them, and it's all good!
Outfit changes are just fine with me.

Ordering Session
Your professionally retouched photos will be ready within 2 weeks.  I will include at least 25 finished portraits for you to choose your favorites from.
I will deliver your photos in a digital gallery for you to choose your favorites.
I do have samples of all of my prints and products for you to see!

After you choose your images, we will decide what the best way for you to display them is:  Wall Art, Wall Galleries, Table Displays, or Digital Files.

Before you know it, you will have your beautiful, heirloom portraits, to display proudly in your home for years to come!

            What to Wear?

What you wear is a matter of personal preference, but if you would like my suggestions from experience....

- Choose 2 or 3 colors to coordinate throughout the whole family

- Match the colors of your clothing to the natural surroundings / foliage

- If you are interested in Wall Art, consider matching your clothes to your home décor

- Keep colors neutral and natural: tan, brown, forest green, mustard, rust, burgundy, blues...

- Layers, even if it is warm out

- Textures photograph lovely:  Lace, chunky knits, etc.

- Jewelry is nice

- Loose, free hair looks wonderful in a breeze, braids photograph nicely

- Avoid busy shirts with words, graphics, stripes, etc.

- Try to avoid tank tops

- No baseball caps

- Don't forget to consider your shoes

- Be prepared to sit in the grass!

*You can bring a brush and diaper wipes for noses if you'd like!
